Hey there, it’s wonderful to meet you!

Victoria Dietz, APSW, Birth Doula

I’m so glad you found your way to Lavender & Ivy! My name is Victoria (she/they) and I am a birth doula in the Madison, WI area. I’m also a mental health therapist who specializes in perinatal mental health, relationships, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care.

A little about me: I am originally from Minnesota but attended Wartburg College in Iowa for my undergraduate degree in political science and social work. I found my way to Madison by attending UW-Madison and completing my Masters degree in social work & mental health. In my free time, I love running and yoga, traveling, watching reruns of Friends, as well as spending time with my fiancé and our two dogs, Mango & Cisco!

For years I contemplated becoming a doula and I finally decided to complete my training after the birth of my wonderful goddaughter, Sophie. My best friend invited me to her labor and it was a honor to support her throughout this amazing, beautiful life experience, as well as see their family grow. I knew afterwards that being a doula was my calling!

Your emotions and comfort are my top priority and I am always happy to talk through anything weighing on your mind . Once labor begins, I provide continuous emotional and physical support, as well as prioritize your birth preferences - no matter how you choose to bring your baby into this world. My goal as your doula is to listen & learn about what is important to you in this life transition and to create a more positive birth experience. I believe birth is a beautiful, natural, and empowering experience!
