Hey there, it’s wonderful to meet you!

Victoria Dietz, BSW, Birth Doula

I’m so glad you found your way to Lavender & Ivy! My name is Victoria (she/they) and I am a birth doula in the Madison, WI area. I’m also a social worker and student psychotherapist who specializes in perinatal mental health, relationships & sex therapy, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care.

A little about me: I am originally from Minnesota but attended Wartburg College in Iowa for my undergraduate degree in political science and social work. In my time there, I did a lot of advocacy for reproductive rights in state politics and DEI efforts on campus. Finally, I was brought to UW-Madison to complete my MSW graduate degree in direct practice mental health. In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, playing tennis reading non-fiction books, traveling, watching documentaries (and the occasional trashy reality TV show), as well as spending time with my partner and our two dogs, Mango & Cisco! Fun fact: I also speak German!

For years I contemplated becoming a doula and it always felt like it wasn’t the right time. That was until the birth of my wonderful goddaughter, Sophie Grace. My best friend invited me to her labor and it was a honor to support her throughout this amazing, beautiful life experience. I knew afterwards that being a doula was my calling!

As both a doula and social worker, I have a passion for empowering and supporting expecting parents in every decision they make. My goal as your doula is to hold space for you in this life transition and provide emotional, physical, and informational support throughout our time together. This is your journey! I aim to provide a gender-affirming and trauma-informed space however you choose to bring your baby into this world.
